Professional Background
Early in 2003, I settled nicely into a French-Canadian company called Fruits & Passion where I moved from being an Assistant Manager to the Boutique Director of the company’s flagship location on Robson Street. During this time, I took a proactive approach to business by becoming a part of the Robson Street Business Association, participating in exhibition events and exercising sales promotions to increase awareness of my company.
One of my greatest accomplishments at Fruits & Passion was increasing my store’s sales by 25 percent for the year 2006, which was the highest increase out of the 97 stores in Canada for that year.
In the summer of 2008, I was contracted by the marketing team of Flying Wedge Pizza Company and still provide my services there as the Marketing Coordinator in the present day. I help the company with their PR needs, produce collateral material for sales purposes and also aid in business-to-business initiatives (i.e. recruitment of corporate catering accounts).
Recently, in March 2009, I completed a practicum at the CanWest Global sales office, located on the downtown waterfront. There, I gained valuable insight working with the Global BC sales team and the CanWest research department.
